In our minds are wires. Wires that crisscross, they intertwine. They carry information throughout and distribute thoughts, senses, emotions, feelings, logic. We are hardwired to respond. In some of us, some of the wires have kinks in them, cross over at bad places, don’t produce, are non conductive. They short circuit. They are no longer a thing of beautiful intracity. They are void of any sort of fuel. They clog up the interstate of your being. They produce negatives and won’t take a charge.
The mind is so delicate, fragile and beautiful. It is complicated and when things aren’t wired right they produce scary things at times.
This image, drawn for me while I recovered in hospital after a near suicide attempt reminds me of the mind. Beautiful confusion. Random arteries of emotions. So complicated yet always having a starting point and an end.
I’ve forgotten his name unfortunately but I often wonder whatever became of him. He lives with Schizophrenia and drawing calmed him. Brought him closer to reality. He was truly a gentle soul.
We are all made differently, we all have issues in one way or another. Be kind, be understanding.
