Oooops wrong date

The photowalk is SATURDAY AUGUST 22 at 9am. sorry for the error on the date in my previous email..

This month’s photo walk is quickly approaching!

I’ll be at Beamer Memorial Conservation Area next Saturday, the 22nd, at 9:00 AM. We’re starting an hour earlier this month because I have an afternoon commitment.

Come join me! Bring your camera, your cellphone, or simply bring yourself and enjoy the morning. You don’t need expensive gear or any photography experience. The goal is to get outside, slow down, notice what’s around us, and capture a few moments along the way.

Nature photography gives your mind somewhere else to go.

When you’re looking through a viewfinder or your phone camera, you start paying attention to things you might normally walk right past. the light through the trees, a bird perched on a branch, insects moving through the grass, or the patterns and textures in nature.

That intentional focus can help quiet the mental noise, get you out of your own head, and bring you into the present moment.

You don’t have to take a great photograph. You don’t even have to take a photograph at all.

Just being outside, moving your body, breathing fresh air, and deliberately looking for something beautiful can be a powerful reset.

For me, that’s what photography is about: getting outside, chasing the light, and finding those little moments that remind us there is still beauty all around us.

So come walk with us.

DON’T FORGET THE BUG SPRAY!

I was at Beamer’s the other morning and the mosquitoes were BRUTAL.

Quick Photography Tip…

Don’t spray bug spray directly onto your hands before handling your camera.

Bug spray can damage or deteriorate some camera body coatings, rubberized surfaces and grips. Spray it onto exposed skin first, let it dry, and then handle your camera.

Hope to see you out there!

Healing, one frame at a time.
