This is the Reason

People think I’m crazy for being up and out between 3 and 4 every morning. But this, folks — this right here — is why.

The magical light in the early morning skies, the silence before the world wakes up, the stillness and peace that can’t be found any other time of day… it’s all worth it.

There’s something sacred about watching the day begin before anyone else. The colours, the quiet, the sense of presence. It grounds me. It heals me.

Being able to preserve these moments with my camera — to freeze that fleeting light, that feeling — is why I fell in love with photography in the first place.

Make it a great day, chase the light… cheers

May’s Outing

We paid a Visit to the “Painted Ladies” in Grimsby this past Saturday for some pictures and conversation. I was so happy to see a new photographer leaning.

The “Painted Ladies” of Grimsby Beach, Ontario, are a charming collection of Victorian-style cottages renowned for their vibrant colors and intricate gingerbread trim. These cottages have a rich history that reflects the evolution of the area from a religious retreat to a whimsical residential community.

Chance

Good morning folks.

Deep in the shade, everything was still—until a beam of sunlight cut through.
I startled two rabbits. One ran.
The other froze… right at the edge of the light.
Framed by nature, lit by chance.
I couldn’t have asked for a better moment.
This is why I carry a camera—nature doesn’t pose, but sometimes… it offers. So good for the soul.
Make it a great day, chase the light… cheers
